Environmental Analysis
Environmental analysis is the use of analytical chemistry and other techniques to study the surrounding environment. The purpose of this is to monitor and study levels of pollutants in the atmosphere, rivers and alternative settings.
Environmental analysis is divided into three distinct areas:
- Internal environment analysis
- Operating environment analysis
- General environment analysis
Up on which are then broken down into the following categories:
- Land, waste and cleanup
- Pesticides
- Substances and toxics
- Water
Types of Environmental Analysis Include:
- Agents that are environmental and/or health hazards
- Ammonia analysis
- Carbon analysis
- Cyanide analysis
- Drinking water, waste water and process water analysis
- Environmental characterisation
- General chemical analysis
- Hazardous Waste
- Health and Safety monitoring
- Indoor and outdoor contamination
- Inorganic analysis
- Ions in aqueous or alternative liquid media
- Metal analysis
- Nitric oxide analysis
- Nitrogen analysis
- Oil spill analysis
- Organic analysis
- PCBs
- pH/Conductivity
- Pesticide analysis
- TCLP (toxicity characteristic leaching procedure)
- Trace organic agents
- Reactive sulfide analysis
- Volatiles and semi-volatiles
- Waste materials and environmental samples
